EDUCE HOME 3

We are pleased to introduce the EDUCE Homes e250g currently under construction in central Toronto and targeted to achieve a LEED Platinum certification.

The e250g is the result of applying the EDUCE Homes sustainability principles to the redevelopment of a modest 1,270 square foot, 2 storey brick home. Additions to the home have been accomplished by integrating our Structurally Insulated Panel (SIP) enclosure system with the conventional framing of the existing structure. The result is the creation of 2,650 square feet of finished area.

EDUCE Homes e250g
Some of the key features of the e250g that allow it to target a LEED Platinum certification include:

  • A high performance building enclosure of walls, windows and roof.
  • A green roof garden.
  • Rain water collection for reuse on the site and within the home.
  • Geothermal heating and cooling system.
  • Significant reuse and recycling of existing building components.

We will be following the progress of the construction of e250g in future postings.
